Coming from New Jersey, we thought we knew what hot beach days felt like. Then Florida decided to humble us.

Some of the beaches down here have a pretty serious walk from the parking lot to the actual shoreline. You might be walking through a park, over a dune, or down a winding path before you even reach the sand. We've made the trip carrying nothing but a surfboard and still managed to arrive drenched in sweat.
