The Best Palm Beach County Beaches for a Family Beach Day

By The Luxury Beach Setup Team

Palm Beach County runs more than 40 miles along Florida's Atlantic coast, and nearly every town along it has a beach worth a full day. The hard part usually isn't finding a good spot - it's getting everyone and everything there. Chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, toys for the kids, a shade tent, towels… by the time you've hauled it all across the sand, you're already tired.

That's exactly why we started Luxury Beach Setup Co. We handle the chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, and coolers so you can show up empty-handed and walk straight to a beach that's already set up and waiting. Here are the Palm Beach County beaches we love most for a family day - and what makes each one special.

Juno Beach

Juno Beach is one of the calmest, most scenic stretches in the county. The historic Juno Beach Pier anchors a wide, clean, rarely-crowded shoreline that is perfect for a relaxed family day. It is also protected sea-turtle nesting habitat, so it has a quieter, more natural feel than the busier downtown beaches. Free public access and nearby parking make it an easy choice.

Delray Beach

Known as "The Village by the Sea," Delray Beach pairs a lively, walkable Atlantic Avenue with an award-winning municipal beach. The sand is wide and well-kept, and you are a short stroll from shops and restaurants when you want a break from the sun. It is one of the most popular beaches in the county for good reason - great for families who like a little energy nearby.

Boynton Beach

Boynton Beach's Oceanfront Park is a favorite with families thanks to its gin-clear water, soft sand, and palm-lined dunes. The shoreline is calm and shallow close in, which makes it ideal for little ones. There is a dedicated parking lot and easy beach access, so it is a smooth in-and-out for a full day with the kids.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the county's laid-back, natural-feeling beach town, watched over by the historic red Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Carlin Park is the big lifeguarded family beach, and parking is free at the beach parks - a rarity in South Florida. Bonus for dog families: Jupiter has a beloved 2.5-mile off-leash dog beach, so the whole family (pups included) can come along.

Boca Raton

Boca Raton offers a more polished, resort-style beach day across three well-kept city parks - South Beach Park, Red Reef Park, and Spanish River Park. Red Reef is famous for snorkeling its near-shore reef, and Spanish River has shady picnic groves connected to the sand by tunnels under A1A. The beaches are public; the parks charge for parking, so plan for that.

How to skip the gear haul

Whichever beach you choose, the setup is the same with us: tell us your beach and your spot, and our crew arrives ahead of you to build everything - premium chairs, umbrellas or a cabana, a cooler with ice, a beach table, and any add-ons like boogie boards, extra shade, or beach toys. When you arrive, we text you a photo of your exact setup location so there is no wandering the sand. At the end of the day, we break it all down and clean up. You just enjoy the beach.

  • Pick your beach and date - we serve towns across Palm Beach County and Broward.
  • Choose a package and any add-ons (extra chairs, a second cabana, a stocked cooler, toys).
  • Show up empty-handed - your setup is ready and photographed when you arrive.
  • Leave the cleanup to us.
